Cheeseman Insurance Agency was founded by Henry B. Cheeseman in 1938. His office, located on North State Street in St. Ignace, quickly became known for it’s quality of service and dedication to serving customer’s needs in good times, and in bad times.

Over time, Cheeseman Insurance Agency has truly become a multi-generational company.   In 1972, Henry’s son, Gregory R. Cheeseman, CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) and CPA (Certified Public Accountant), joined the agency.  And in 1999, Gregory S. Cheeseman, (also a CPA and CIC),  joined his father in the family business .

Friendly Knowledgeable Staff

We are proud to be able to say that all of our agents at Cheeseman Insurance Agency are friendly and knowledgeable.  Jeni Therrian, Agent and CISR (Certified Insurance Service Representative), has been with the agency for over 30 years.  Jeni brings experience with both personal and commercial lines. The newest member of our staff is Tina Jones.  Tina joined us in April 2011 and has her license in Property and Casualty, as well as Life and Health.
